Four sports figures to start Tullamore parade

A quartet of high achieving Offaly sports personalities will act as joint grand marshals at this year's St Patrick's Day Parade in Tullamore.

Under 20 winning All-Ireland 2024 hurling captain, Dan Bourke, and team mates Dan Ravenhill and Cillian Martin, will be joined by Rugby Sevens Olympian, Jordan Conroy, all of whom will cut the ribbon by the review stand at 11am to formally launch the parade.

The parade starts at 11.30am from the assembly point in the Bridge Centre car park with all groups requested to meet at the location by 11am at the latest.

The parade will follow the route of High Street, Bridge Street, Colmcille Street, over the Kilbeggan Bridge and finish at the GAA Centre on Arden Road. Groups are not permitted to drop out of the parade early due to safety reasons. The review stand is located near Macs Cabs on Colmcille Street

From 10.30am Tullamore Comhaltas will provide great entertainment at the review stand. There will be a special reserved area for elderly and wheelchair users.

Entry is free for community groups and it is still possible to enter. To do so simply email seanobrientullamore@gmail.com or call Sean on 086 3892854. Commercial entries and large floats are requested to assemble on Cormac Street.
