Prestigious podium place for Ferbane AC runner at Leinster Indoor Championships

Leading Ferbane AC member Denise Egan claimed a prestigious gold medal at the Leinster Indoor Championships in the National Indoor Arena Abbotstown.

Competing in the 800m masters women's race, Egan achieved first place, her competitive edge and consistency in performance ensuring a prized podium finish.

Meanwhile in Mucklagh, a number of Ferbane AC club members participated in the Colin Dunne memorial 5k road race on Sunday, March 2. The race serves as excellent preparation for the forthcoming Healthy Offaly 5K Road Race Series which starts on Sunday, March 9, with the Tullamore Harriers 5K.

Finally, long serving Ferbane AC member, Jude Feehan was recognised for his volunteerism at an awards ceremony in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

Jude’s many years of volunteering in Community Games was acknowledged by the Federation of Irish Sport when he was awarded Offaly volunteer of the year for 2025.
