Aura Leisure Centre pool re-opens in Tullamore

All classes have now resumed at the Tullamore Aura Leisure Centre swimming pool following the closure of the popular facility last month after part of the roof was ripped off during Storm Éowyn.

In a Facebook post this morning, the management team at Aura said all classes in the pool are "back in action" with the exception of the baby pool. The main pool and the learner pool are now open for classes, with the baby pool expected to be up and running in the near future.

Aura employee, Katie Troy, also posted a video declaring the pool "officially open" once again for customers.

All water-based activities were suspended at the Tullamore leisure centre in the wake of Storm Éowyn, when six skylights on the roof of the pool hall were completely ripped off the building.

Contractors were drafted in over recent weeks to repair the damage to the roof, and further updates on all classes and activities taking place in the swimming pool will be posted on the Aura Facebook here
