Double milestone for Lawlors

Husband-wife duo Martin and Martina Lawlor both celebrated milestones recently at Mountlucas parkrun. Martina completed her 200th parkrun while Martin completed his 150th parkrun. Both took place on the same day. Martina, a talented baker, brought along some home baked treats to share will everyone who attended.

Martina said: "Both Martin and I enjoy our local parkrun. For us it is a family event as most of our kids attend with us."

Both Martin and Martina attend Mountlucas parkrun with their children most weeks, often volunteering at the event. Notably, their son Nathan volunteered as marshal for the event while Fiadh and RJ joined their parents in running the parkrun.

Amazingly, both Martin and Martina have completed every single one of their combined 350 parkruns at Mountlucas parkrun. It has become a key part of the weekend for their family. Speaking about Mountlucas parkrun, Martina said "We love the friendliness , encouragement, and not forgetting the banter. Mountlucas is a very well organised parkrun and it makes our Saturday morning enjoyable."
