Offaly Domestic Violence Support Service announces 15th Annual International Women’s Day brunch

Offaly Domestic Violence Support Service (ODVSS) has announced it's 15th Annual International Women’s Day Brunch.

The event will take place at The Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 12:45pm. to 2:00pm.

This annual gathering raises awareness of domestic abuse while celebrating women's courage, resilience, and strength.

This year’s theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” emphasizes the importance of advocating for equal rights, unlocking opportunities, and fostering a feminist future where no one is left behind.

It also highlights the crucial role of the next generation—young women and adolescent girls—as powerful agents of change in the movement toward gender equality.

The event will feature an inspiring panel of guest speakers, each bringing unique insights and lived experiences. Claire Clarkson, an Influencer and businesswoman, will share her journey of empowerment and self-determination.

Latisha McCrudden, a Second-Year Law Student and Activist at the University of Galway, will talk about her journey as a child survivor of domestic abuse, and Trisha Rooney, a Business owner and advocate for domestic abuse awareness, will offer a powerful perspective on resilience and support for survivors.

“This event is not only about raising awareness of domestic abuse within our community but also about celebrating the incredible resilience of women,” said Anne Clarke, CEO at ODVSS.

“Despite adversity, there is always light, and through empowerment and support, every woman and girl can reclaim her power.”

The International Women’s Day Brunch invites women in the community members to join the conversation, listen to the voices of change, and be part of a movement that uplifts and empowers women of all backgrounds.

This is a free event. Tickets are limited, and booking is essential to attend. To book, you can email info@odvss.ie or call 0579351796.
