Milestones and visitors at Mountlucas Parkrun
Mountlucas parkrun recently welcomed a group of attendees from the Strength and Conditioning Centre Tullamore.
Based in Cloncollig Business Park in Tullamore, the Strength and Conditioning Centre helps Midlands men and women lose weight, tone up and move pain free. They offer personal training, large group training, hot yoga, pilates and a range of other services. Mountlucas parkrun were delighted to have a large group attend from the centre, adding a very positive atmosphere to the event.
One of the centre members, Dympna Condron, completed the parkrun with her daughter Katie. Speaking after the event Dympna outlined "I am so proud of Katie. This is her first time to ever run 5km. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to do it but she did brilliantly!" Katie seems to be following in her mother's footsteps as Dympna recently won a team medal for Offaly in the Leinster Cross Country Championships.
Mountlucas parkrun has recently had a number of milestones for its participants. Mark Hackett and Monica Carty both celebrated the milestone of 50 parkruns recently. As well as this, Patrick O'Keeffe recently completed his 100th parkrun at Mountlucas parkrun. Well done everyone!
The volunteer team were delighted to recently welcome two new volunteers to the volunteer team, students Tara Swaine and Clodagh Burke who are completing a block of volunteering as part of Gaisce - the President's Award.
