Students from Midlands school create real life St. Brigid's Cross
The enterprising students and teachers from the Cistercian College in Roscrea embarked on a novel project to commemorate the feast day of St. Brigid by creating their own real life St. Brigid's Cross on the grounds of the College.
Under the stewardship of Paddy Smyth and Fr. Aodhán McDunphy, the students carried out the special project to create a human St. Brigid's Cross in the grounds of the Midlands school, and the novel idea succeeded in bringing the entire school community together.
Students from each year throughout the school came together to form the real life St. Brigid's Cross which was then captured from the air by way of stunning drone photography.
Cistercian College is an independent boys’ secondary school for students from first to sixth year. Established in 1905 and located on the grounds of Mount St. Joseph Abbey in Roscrea, it attracts day students and boarders from all parts of the Midlands.
