Tullamore student receives 2024 Ashling Murphy Bursary award

Sacred Heart School Tullamore student Lusaí Ryan has been named as the recipient of the 2024 Ashling Murphy Bursary award.

The award, which was launched in May of 2022, is a sincere tribute to the memory of Ashling, who was a student at the school.

It is given to recipients who are following in Ashling's footsteps, with primary education as their first love.

"Congratulations to Lusaí Ryan who was awarded the 2024 Ashling Murphy Bursary Award from the Sacred Heart Secondary School, where Ashling attended," read a statement on the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund page.

"We wish Lusaí success and happiness as she pursues a career in the area of education.

"Thank you to the Sacred Heart School Tullamore for their continued support in remembering Ashling and providing students with opportunities to succeed."
