Two Offaly footballers on GAA's 'Team of the Week'
Offaly's footballers got their Allianz League campaign off to a winning start when they overcame Sligo by a four-point margin at Glenisk O'Connor Park in Tullamore on Sunday.
And two of the county's players who caught the eye on the day - goalkeeper Paddy Dunican of Shamrocks GAA and centre half forward Keith O'Neill of Clonbullogue GAA - were both included in the GAA.ie 'team of the week' after the first round of league fixtures.
O'Neill delivered a 'man of the match' performance on the day, kicking six points, five of which were from play.
As the new gaelic football rules took effect, Jim Gavin, the chairman of the committee which devised them, was in Tullamore for Sunday's game.
Offaly GAA shared the above photo of the former Dublin player and manager enjoying a half-time cup of tea in the company of Pat Teehan, Michael Duignan, Matt Connor and the new Cathaoirleach of Offaly GAA, Tom Parlon.
