Tullamore hospital cafe opts for Athlone business's 'delicious' baked goods

Athlone's Magico Bakery has been chosen to provide the baked goods for Tullamore hospital's new Zen Caffe.

The authentic Italian bakery is a family business which takes great pride in crafting artisan food specialising sourdough and pastries.

Magico is run by Athloone residents Giulia and Matteo Zanardo.

Taking to social media to share the news, Magico Bakery wrote: "We're so excited to announce that Zen Caffe in Tullamore has chosen our delicious pastries, cornettos, cruffins, knots, sour dough bread, and ciabatta for their new opening in Tullamore Hospital.

"We're proud to be part of their success and thank them for their trust!"

The cafe opened on Monday last, January 20, after a long absence of a cafe and seating area in the hospital.

Louisea Burke, Interim General Manager, Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, extended congratulations "to all those who contributed and put significant time and effort towards bringing Zen Cafe to fruition".
