Offaly Fáilte Isteach conversation clubs return

Offaly Local Development has announced the Fáilte Isteach Conversation Clubs will be restarting across the county in early February.

Starting on Wednesday, February 5, in Tullamore and Kilcormac, the group will meet every Wednesday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm in Tullamore Library, and from 10am to 11:30am in St. Joseph's Community Centre.

The Edenderry and Birr groups will resume on Thursday, February 6. The group will take place every Thursday from 2pm to 3:30pm in Birr Rugby Club, and from 10am to 11:30am in Edenderry Community Cabin.

In Clara, the club will return on Friday, February 7, with the group meeting every Friday from 10:30am to 12pm in Clara Community Resource Centre

The clubs offer the opportunity for people to come together, support one another, and meet new people in the community.

Participants have the chance to improve their English, build confidence, and get to know the local community.

Whether people want to improve their language skills as a learner, or to volunteer as a conversation buddy, there's a place for everyone.

Volunteers receive training and support, with no experience required.
