Make Mountlucas parkrun your New Year's resolution

It's not too late to make a New Year's resolution! And what better resolution than adding Mountlucas parkrun to your weekly schedule.

There's something for everyone at Mountlucas parkrun whether you want to walk, run, volunteer or just meet new people.

Mountlucas parkrun is a free weekly timed event held at Mountlucas wind farm every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp. It's held each week with the coordination and support of a team of volunteers. There are a number of volunteer roles including marshall, tailwalker, timekeeper, barcode scanner, finish tokens and Run Director. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer as part of a new year's resolution or just to meet new people, contact Mountlucas@parkrun.com

Mountlucas parkrun is open to walkers, joggers and runners. There is nearly always someone to join you at whatever pace you're comfortable completing the 5km course in. All you have to do is register in advance on parkrun.ie and then bring your barcode on the day.

Mountlucas parkrun is a very popular event, well known for being friendly, welcoming and inclusive. It's most recent event had almost 80 participants. It is a flat course with beautiful sights and scenery. For more information see parkrun.ie/mountlucas
