Esker Arts to mark Traveller Ethnicity Day with play 'The Deadhouse'
Esker Arts and Offaly Traveller Movement are set to mark Traveller Ethnicity Day with a rendition of 'The Deadhouse' by Martin Beanz Warde.
The event will take place on Thursday, February 27, at 8pm in Esker Arts Centre in Tullamore.
The play is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of finding one’s voice and identity.
Playwright Mr Warde is a member of the Irish Traveller community, and holds a Sociology and Politics degree from NUIG and an MA in Journalism from UL.
His play 'The Deadhouse' had a sold-out run at Dublin Theatre Festival, Galway Theatre Festival, Scripts - Ireland's Playwriting Festival and Listowel Writer's Week.
