Aldi announces recruitment drive for 11 jobs in Offaly
Supermarket chain Aldi has announced a recruitment drive in Offaly, saying it currently has 11 positions available in the county.
The retailer, which celebrated 25 years in Ireland last year, said it's looking to recruit new team members for its network of three Offaly stores.
Aldi opened its second store in Tullamore at the end of November, and it also has a supermarket in Edenderry.
It said the 11 open roles in Offaly "are a mix of both new jobs and backfill positions".
The current starting rate for store assistants and warehouse operatives is €14.80 per hour, which Aldi described as a "market-leading" rate and one which exceeds the current rate set by The Living Wage Technical Group.
Brian O'Shea, HR Director at Aldi Ireland, said: "Aldi is dedicated to not only providing exceptional products and services to our customers but also creating a rewarding and supportive environment for our employees.
"Our commitment to offering market-leading pay, comprehensive benefits, and a focus on employee wellbeing underscores our belief in nurturing a motivated and fulfilled workforce."
Having opened its first store in Ireland in 1999, Aldi's network has grown to 163 stores across the country.
