Nursing, healthcare and social studies students at Tullamore Further Education and Training Centre have been collaborating with Home Instead over the past four years on a unique project to spread Christmas cheer to Home Intead clients who may experience loneliness over the festive period due to lack of family support.

Home Instead collaborate with local students to spread Christmas cheer

Home Instead clients who are at a higher chance of experiencing loneliness over the festive period due to very limited family support were the grateful recipients of Christmas gifts which were collected by students of the Tullamore Further Education and Training Centre.

In a collaboration which has been on-going for the past four years, Home Instead has worked closely with the Tullamore Further Education and Training Centre on putting together a range of gifts for Home Instead clients. Each recipient of a gift is carefully chosen due to the fact that they have little or no family and have a high chance of facing loneliness over the Christmas holiday period.

The gifts, which were wrapped by the nursing, healthcare and social studies students in the Tullamore Further Education and Training Centre, were collected by Ronan Fagan, Business Development and Marketing Manager for Home Instead in the Midlands, before being delivered to their clients in time for Christmas.
