Coláiste Naomh Cormac students prepare care packs for Offaly nursing homes

Students from Coláiste Naomh Cormac, Kilcormac, took time before the holidays to create Christmas care packages for residents in nursing homes across Offaly.

Students in 1st and 2nd Year Civic, Social and Political Education (CSPE) classes, together with staff, participated in the initiative in partnership with carepack.ie to create the Christmas care packages.

This volunteer-led program connects participants with nursing home residents, encouraging the spirit of giving during the festive season.

With the support of An Post, which provides free delivery for packages up to one kilo sent to nursing homes, the students contributed a generous variety of gifts for the care packages. These included clothes, toiletries, games, teddies, blankets, and sweet treats, all chosen to bring comfort and joy to the recipients.

The completed care packages were delivered to residents in Ferbane Nursing Unit, Portarlington Nursing Unit, and Edenderry Nursing Unit.

Coláiste Naomh Cormac would like to thank everyone in the school community who made this collaboration possible.
