Mountlucas parkrun celebrated on annual calendar

Bord na Móna Mountlucas windfarm this week launched its 2025 calendar. The calendar celebrates the sights and scenery of Mountlucas windfarm. Featured on the cover and on October is a photo taken by Finbar Redmond, regular of Mountlucas parkrun. Finbar won Bord na Móna's photo competition with his entry.

Finbar took the photo in January, around New Year's Day. Speaking about the photo Finbar said: "The bog oak in the foreground is the history and past of the bog and the wind turbines in the background are the future. I like the winter moody sky and winter light in the scene."

Also included in the calendar is a photo, taken by Paschal Naughton, of Mountlucas parkrun regulars Mary Dunne and Mary Rowan along with Finbar, proudly displaying their Mountlucas parkrun milestone tshirts. Bord na Móna kindly provided a copy of the calendar to all Mountlucas parkrun attendees at the weekend.

Mountlucas parkrun is a free weekly timed event which takes place every Saturday at 9.30am sharp at the windfarm. Saturday 21st December will be the last Mountlucas parkrun before Christmas so is sure to be a special one. All are welcome!
