Coláiste Choilm recognises excellence at Kearney Awards 2024

Coláiste Choilm in Tullamore recognised student excellence with the annual Kearney Awards which took place last Friday evening, November 29.

The awards shone a spotlight on the remarkable achievements of the students of the 2024 Leaving Certificate students.

The evening, a highlight of the school calendar, was an inspiring occasion attended by students, their proud families, and dedicated staff members.

Principal Tadhg O'Sullivan expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments, emphasising the values of hard work, dedication, and perseverance that underpin academic success.

The awards were presented by Mr. Ray O’Donovan, a teacher at Coláiste Choilm, who commended the students on their exceptional accomplishments and highlighted the dedication and effort that led to their success.

The evening saw the following students recognised for their exceptional achievements:

* Seamus O’Dea Award – Geography: John Greene and Kevin Sweeney

* Parents Association Award – Technology: Christopher Leavy

* Tullamore Credit Union Award – Business Studies: John Greene

* Offaly Historical Society Award - History: Edvinas Kryzevicius

* Music Award Sponsored by Music and Sound Shop: Conor Timmerman

* Spanish Award Sponsored by Bramley Jewellers: Eoin Gaffey

* Mary Glennon Award – French: Cian McConnell

In addition to the subject-specific accolades, the evening honoured a group of students who demonstrated outstanding performance across the board in the 2024 Leaving Certificate State Examinations.
