Athlone Film Club's next showing rearranged for Thursday night
Athlone Film Club has rescheduled its next offering - French film 'The Crime is Mine' - for this Thursday evening, December 12 in the Dean Crowe Theatre at 8pm.
The club said it had to rearrange the film from its planned Tuesday slot "due to unforeseen circumstances".
'The Crime is Mine' is set in 1930s Paris where penniless aspiring actress Madeleine Verdier, played by Nadia Tereszkiewicz, is accused of murdering a famous producer. After a sensational trial, Madeline is acquitted and begins a new life of fame and success, that is until the truth comes out. The film is playful, chic and charming.
Athlone Film Club is very much looking forward to welcoming back both regular and new cinema-goers to the Dean Crowe Theatre for this peppy comedy crime romp.
Further information on this film and the remainder of the Athlone Film Club season can be found at the club's website (www.athlonefilmclub.com), by downloading the Athlone Film Club app (android devices only) and on Facebook and Instagram.
Athlone Film Club was set up in 2008 under the patronage of the Dean Crowe Theatre Trust and aims to give local audiences the opportunity to see a range of world and classic films that rarely make it to commercial cinema screens.
Doors open at the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone on Thursday, December 12 at 7.30pm and the film starts at 8pm.
'The Crime is Mine' is a French language film with English subtitles and the running time is 102 minutes. Entry is €10 per film, cash only please.
