PHOTOS: The winning entries in Tullamore Camera Club's latest competition
Tullamore Camera Club members voted on two monthly competitions at the November meeting of the club.
There theme for the month of October was leaves/forests.
Cliff Webb's beautiful monochromatic photo of a Melianthus leaf was the winning shot while Marie Kearns' seasonal photo of an apple amongst the autumnal leaves took second place.
November's theme was Open, which garnered great interest among the members.
Joan McKenna's well timed shot of a preening wood pigeon was the winner on the night, with second place going to Celine Nic Oireachtaigh with another bird photo, this time of a blue tit.
The Club was honoured that Irish Press Photographer of the Year 2021 and 2022, James Crombie, agreed to be the guest judge.
James also chose Cliff Webb's leaf shot as his favourite, complimenting it's unusual perspective.
In the Open theme James selected Rosie Cummins shot of an urban fox, admiring it's ability to tell a compelling story.
There will be no meeting in December. The next meeting, which will be an open meeting , and will be held at 8pm in Offaly Historical Society premises on January 30.
