Nolan first Offaly TD to be elected to 34th Dail
Carol Nolan has become the first Offaly TD to be elected to the 34th Dail. Following her election she paid tribute to her "hardworking staff" and supporters, and said it was "an unbelievable feeling" to be re-elected.
The Independent TD, who was first elected to the Dail in 2016 on the Sinn Féin ticket, but resigned from the party two years later when she disagreed with their abortion stance, also thanked the people of Offaly for their "vote of confidence" in her.
"It's a great night for me and for my family, and I am absolutely delighted and honoured" she said.
