Bus transfers to be used on part of Offaly to Galway rail route this weekend
Irish Rail is notifying train passengers that bus transfers will be in effect for part of its journeys between Offaly and Galway over the weekend.
The disruption is being caused by engineering works that are to be carried out between Athenry and Galway later tonight (Friday), and on Saturday and Sunday.
The first service to be affected will be the 8.30pm train from Dublin Heuston to Galway tonight, which will operate to Athenry only, with bus transfers then coming into effect between Athenry and Galway.
Services on the route throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday will also be subject to bus transfers in both directions between Athenry and Galway.
A full list of affected services is available on the Irish Rail website here.
