Dalton up for Women's Player of the Year Award

Aoife Dalton is shortlisted for the 2024 Guinness Rugby Writers of Ireland Women’s XV Player of the Year Award.

The Clara native is one of five nominees for the prestigious accolade, alongside Aoife Wafer, Brittany Hogan, Edel McMahon and Linda Djougang

Jack Crowley, Caelan Doris, Joe McCarthy, Bundee Aki, and Jamison Gibson-Park lead the charge as nominees for 2024 Guinness Rugby Writers of Ireland Men’s XV Player of the Year Award announced.

The Irish Sevens programme continues to thrive, with both the men's and women's teams delivering strong performances on the world stage. With both teams qualifying and competing at the Paris Olympics, the Women’s squad brought home the first ever World Series Gold Medal last season with the Men’s side finishing second in the world. This year's nominees for Ireland Men’s 7s Player of the Year are Zac Ward, Terry Kennedy, and Harry McNulty. Vying for the Women’s 7 Player of the Year title are Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe, making a return to the shortlist, alongside teammates Eve Higgins and Erin King.
