Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning takes place in aid of Offaly Hospice Foundation

The longstanding and much-loved national event Bewley's Big Coffee Morning has taken place this morning, Thursday September 26.

The fundraiser, coordinated by Together for Hospice, is supported by the likes of Brendon Gleeson and Domhnall Gleeson.

It is raising funds for hospices across the country, including Offaly Hospice Foundation.

Speaking about the value of donations to the organisation, Offaly Hospice Foundation Chairman, Prof. Humphrey O’Connor said: "The work of Offaly Hospice Foundation totally depends on the goodwill and generosity of the people of County Offaly and beyond.

"Over the past 30 years, that generosity has never been found wanting and for that we are truly grateful. As Offaly Hospice launches the Midlands Hospice Building Fund we need your support even more.

"The people of the Midlands deserve a first class Hospice service and it is long overdue. At the end of the day, what we achieve together for Hospice will truly benefit so many patients and families now and into the future. On behalf of Offaly Hospice Foundation a sincere thanks."
