Culture Night successful in representing Offaly's eclectic cultural mix

Culture Night on Friday 20 September was a successful ‘one night for all’ as it displayed the counties eclectic cultural mix.

Venues across Offaly opened their doors to host a programme of free entertainment for Culture Night 2024, which is an island-wide celebration of arts, heritage and culture.

The arts team behind the celebration, led by Dr Sally O’Leary, Aleksandra Rosiak, and their event coordinator, Emma Hanley, produced a packed programme which created a great night for all who attended.

This year there was an emphasis on diversity and inclusion with all communities encouraged to come and be part of a range of multi-disciplinary events.

Events took place across the county, with music, dance, and food events set out for all to enjoy.

Speaking about the success of the night, organisers said: "A massive thank you to everyone who made Culture Night 2024 in Offaly such an unforgettable success!

"From the incredible artists and performers who shared their talents, to the enthusiastic audiences, hosts, and communities who came out to celebrate our rich landscape, we couldn’t have done it without you. Your energy, passion, and support helped bring the heart of Offaly’s culture to life.

"Here's to the magic of art, culture, and togetherness—until next year!"
