Accessible Counselling Tullamore to host second James O'Connor Memorial Walk next week

Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT) is inviting people to take part in their second James O'Connor Memorial Walk on Friday, October 4.

The event will take place in Tullamore Harriers, and is being held in memory of their beloved founder James O'Connor who passed away in March of last year.

The walk in free of charge to joing, however donations at the gate are greatly appreciated. Participants can walk any time between 5pm and midnight for as little or as long as they would like.

The night will kick off with an opening ceremony framed by the setting sun, there will be music by local artists and a brief opening address and a time for reflection. This is a family friendly event with face painting and goody bags for the kids.

The walk will take place on the running track where everyone can walk at their own pace.

The route is safe and clearly marked and there will be stewards and support crew on hand, gentle music playing and food and refreshments available by local vendors.

Every participant will be given a tea light to place along the track. These will line the route and will each one will symbolise a life that James touched.
