Offaly Down Syndrome Association launch heartwarming music video

Offaly Down Syndrome has announced the launch of a special music video, "Happy Xmas (War is Over)," featuring renowned Irish singer Simon Casey.

The music video aims to highlight the abilities and contributions of individuals with Down syndrome, raising awareness about the importance of inclusivity and the opportunities available for them in the workplace.

"We're thrilled to have Simon Casey on board for this project," said Robbie Donnelly, Branch Administrator of Offaly Down Syndrome.

"The music video is not just a celebration of the festive season but a reminder of the incredible potential that individuals with Down syndrome have to offer.

"Our aim is to challenge stereotypes, raise awareness, and encourage employers to consider the many skills that people with Down syndrome bring to the workplace. We would love for Irish Radio Stations to put our single on their Christmas Playlists also to spread the joy this festive season," Robbie added.

The video showcases the talents and enthusiasm of the participants, offering an inspiring example of how individuals with Down syndrome can excel in creative, collaborative projects.

It also serves as a call to action for businesses, organizations, and the wider community to create more inclusive employment opportunities, helping to build a society where everyone has the chance to thrive.

The music video is now available to watch on Offaly Down Syndrome’s Facebook, Instagram, and on Youtube at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4z6f-fEVPw.

From December 1, the single will also be available on Spotify.
