Banagher Horse Fair attracts people from all over Ireland

One of the longest-surviving street fairs, the Banagher Horse Fair, took place on Sunday last and attracted crowds from all corners of Ireland.

While trade was described as being quieter than in previous years, there was keen interest in all aspects of the fair with the majority of those attending mesmerised by the colour and the spectacle of the event in Banagher.

Preparations are already underway for Banagher Horse Fair 2025, which is due to take place on Sunday, September 14, next year.
