Tullamore Musical Society to stage 'Jesus Christ Superstar'
After much speculation, Tullamore Musical Society has finally announced details of the much-anticipated show they have selected to mark their 70th anniversary.
The society will stage one of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's most iconic musicals, 'Jesus Christ Superstar' in Esker Arts Centre as their 2025 production from Saturday, February 15 to the following Saturday, February 22.
The three-man production team for the 2025 musical was announced on June 9 last, and is made up of Director Art McGauran, Choreographer Graham Finnerty and Musical Director Enda O'Connor, while a workshop for the upcoming show is due to take place in St. Mary's Youth Centre on Thursday, September 19 next.
Auditions for the principal roles in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' are due to take place on Sunday, September 22 next in Esker Arts Centre, and the registration fee for auditions is €20, which will be deducted from the annual membership fee.

Meanwhile, Tullamore Musical Society members are also currently in rehearsal for their upcoming 70th Anniversary Concert which is due to take place on Sunday, October 27 next.
All current and past members of Tullamore Musical Society have been invited to take part in the Gala Concert to mark the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the mutli-award winning society, which promises to be a wonderful trip down memory lane for the countless thousands of people who have supported the society over the past 70 years.
