Tickets for local production of The Snapper set to go on sale

Tickets for Roddy Doyle’s The Snapper go on sale this Tuesday, August 20, at 10am

Colin Hughes Promotions are bringing Roddy Doyles masterpiece The Snapper to the stage in Tullamore for eight nights only. The play version of the hilarious film will be staged in Esker Arts Centre from October 5 to October 12, with tickets going on sale this coming Tuesday, August 20, at 10am.

The play features all the favourite characters and quotes from one of Ireland's most famous movies so tickets are expected to sell out very quickly for this production.

The Snapper follows twenty-year-old Irish lass Sharon who still lives at home with her mom and dad and many siblings. But notoriety in her small town suddenly arrives in the unlikeliest of forms when, after a boozy night on the town, she becomes pregnant and refuses to divulge the identity of the baby's father. Eventually, the not-so-proud dad is exposed, bringing new levels of embarrassment and complication to the devout Roman Catholic household.

The Snapper is produced and directed by Colin Hughes and has a local midlands based cast including Grace Kinirons, Claire Lemass, Natalee Kelly, Blathnaid Fitzsimons, Sinead Handy and Tom Maher plus a supporting cast and crew.

Tickets will be available from the Esker Arts website on Tuesday morning from 10am.
