Offaly bar wins silver at 'Bar of the Year Awards'

The Tullamore based Old Warehouse bar has won silver at the Bar of the Year Awards

The ceremony was held at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, on Monday August 19, and saw the Old Warhouse claim the silver position in the Best Local Bar category.

The gold position was won by The Kingswood Lodge, in Co. Dublin, while the bronze winner was Whelans bar, in Co. Limerick.

The Old Warehouse was nominated in three categories; the Local Bar of the Year Award, the Gastro Bar of the year Award, and the Best Newcomer award.

The bar, having opened its doors in 2022, is co-owned by PGA star and Offaly native Shane Lowry, and hospitality entrepreneur Alan Clancy.

The bar saw success in 2023, being featured in the Sunday World's 2023 'Pub Spy' list of the top ten bars in Ireland.
