Megan's Olympic adventure gets underway
Offaly's Megan Armitage has just got her Olympics underway.
Armitage, from Shinrone, is one of 93 riders in the women's cycling road race.
The 158km race started at 1pm, with riders due to finish near the iconic Eiffel Tower later today. The coure involves some 1,700 metres of climing.
Ireland's Ben Healy had a sensational ride in the men's equivalent yesterday, leading the race with some 50km to go, and eventually finishing tenth.
