Ruaile Buaile set for Sunday trad performance at Electric Picnic

Offaly band Ruaile Buaile has been announced as one of the performers on the Sunday trad line-up at this year's Electric Picnic in Stradbally.

The 'twisted trad' five-piece from the Faithful County will be taking to the stage as part of a line-up which includes The Piper’s Cross Band, Shaskeen, Some One’s Sons and Briars.

Ruaile Buaile will be "manically trad rocking the roof off the place," on the day, according to festival organisers.

Tom Grennan, the popular singer and songwriter whose father, Martin, hails from Ballycumber, provides another Offaly link to this year's festival

Grennan, who has uncles, aunts and cousins in Offaly, will be among the headline performers at the popular annual event.

This year's Electric Picnic festival takes place from August 16 to 18.
