Tullamore Tidy Towns pays tribute to volunteers after successful clean-up and BBQ

The Tullamore Tidy Towns group has paid tribute to its volunteers who are helping to keep the town looking well, saying there's "serious work being done every Wednesday evening and Sunday morning from all corners of our community".

The group hosted a clean-up of Bury Quay and Hophill roundabout yesterday (Wednesday) evening, which was followed with a BBQ outside Eugene's, at Kilbeggan Bridge.

In a social media post, the Tidy Towns group thanked the volunteers who helped out and the businesses which provided food for the BBQ, with burgers and sausages courtesy of Cloonans Hardware / PJ Grennan Quality Foods, along with contributions of prize-winning veggie options, salads, and desserts.

It also pointed out that help was always needed with its twice-weekly clean-ups.

"The group meets up every Wednesday at Kilbride Plaza at 7pm and Sunday morning at 8.30am. See you next week.

"All help welcome and always more to do," said Tullamore Tidy Towns.
