Urgent appeal over rescue husky missing in Offaly
Husky Rescue Ireland has renewed an appeal for information on one of its foster dogs, Asha, who went missing in Offaly last Thursday morning.
Asha slipped out of her collar while out for her walk in Rhode at 8.30am on Thursday, and since then there has been only one sighting of her, at around 9.45am the same morning.
Andy, from Husky Rescue Ireland, told the Offaly Independent that Asha was between 11 and 12 years old, and was losing her sight.
"Her foster family and the HRI team have been out looking for her but to no avail. she is chipped to us, and we have also contacted the Offaly dog warden in case she is found," read a post from Husky Rescue Ireland.
"Asha is partially blind, so please bear this in mind if you see her. She is a friendly girl but doesn’t get on too well with other dogs.
"Anyone who is in Rhode, Offaly, or surrounding areas, please keep an eye out for Asha for us.... If anyone in that area has an hour to spare, we would appreciate the help looking for her."
Anyone with information can get in touch with the 'Husky Rescue Ireland' Facebook page or contact Andy on 085 247 3805.
