Port Art Collective to host variety of activities and workshops at Forest Fest

Port Art Collective, an independent group that aims to promote talented local creatives, will host a number of exciting workshops and activities at Forest Fest from July 19 to July 21.

From early morning yoga in the campsite to spinning records late into the night The Port Art Collective will bring a whole lot of entertainment to this year's festival.

During the day The Forest Edge, at the top left of the Festival site will host art, drawing, craft and tech workshops for children of all ages from local artists, Celtic Con Midlands Comic Con and Port Coder DoJo. There will be a children’s sensory tent and in the craft area there will be some sensory activities with All Abilities. At some of the workshops they will have a chance to make their own artworks.

This year at The Forest Sounds tent, Port Sounds will host storytelling, spoken word up and coming bands and appearances from performers playing the main Festival stages. Are you a performer? You can take the stage yourself at the open mic sessions on Saturday and Sunday and a group of DJs will be spinning vinyl between acts during the day and into the night.

The area will see live street art with ADW and friends, demonstrations and exhibits from the artists, writers and makers in the group. Local groups like My Brat Bhríde and Crafty Dreams Studio will show off and explain their work in fibres and fabric. Installations will be dotted around including The Wishing Tree.
