Protest against misogyny to take place in Tullamore

Offaly County Councillor Aoife Masterson has urged people to "continue the protest" against misogyny at a rally in Lloyd Park, Tullamore this weekend.

The Sinn Féin Councillor tweeted yesterday, encouraging people to "join us this weekend as we call for justice for Natasha and all victims."

Protests are continuing up and down the country in solidarity with 24-year-old Natasha O'Brien, who was knocked unconscious during an attack on O'Connell Street in Limerick City in May 2022. Her attacker, 22-year-old serving soldier Cathal Crotty, was convicted of assault but given a three-year fully suspended sentence.

This protest is due to take place on Saturday, June 29 from 1pm to 2pm.
