Investigation ongoing into collision involving Garda car

Gardaí have told the Offaly Independent that they are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred on the N62 road at Cush East, Co. Offaly on Tuesday afternoon, June 25.

The collision occurred at approximately 1:30pm on the road between Ferbane and Cloghan and involved two cars. One of these cars was an on-duty official Garda vehicle and driven by a Garda member.

The Gardaí have said that both drivers received medical attention at the scene, but that no hospitalisations were required.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact Birr Garda Station.
