Offaly Down Syndrome charity to partner 2024 Tullamore Show
Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show has announced Offaly Down Syndrome Association as its chosen charity 2024.
There were numerous applications for this coveted charity spot, which enables the chosen charity to fundraise by various means including bucket collections, raffles, and donations. In addition, it gives them an opportunity to raise awareness for their work.
Speaking on behalf of Offaly Down Syndrome, Branch Administrator Robbie Donnelly said that they are “delighted to be selected for the Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show.”
“By partnering with Ireland’s Premier Show the association is hoping to gain increased visibility and the opportunity to raise essential funds to continue our invaluable work, whilst also raising funds to set up our very own Centre of Excellence in County Offaly.”
Offaly Down Syndrome Association has been a pillar of support in the community since 1984 and advocates for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of individuals with Down Syndrome.
Tullamore Show extends its best wishes to Offaly Down Syndrome for a successful fundraising event at Tullamore Show on Sunday, August 11 at the Butterfield Estate, Blueball. Every year the show attracts the best cattle, sheep, and equine breeders from all over the country, alongside entrants for its other 1,000 plus competitions with a total prize-fund of €175,000
It is Ireland’s largest one-day show, averaging 60,000 visitors in recent years, with 700 Trade Stands from Agri Sectors, Home Industries, Farm Produce, Innovation, Forestry, Agri Machinery and more.
