Offaly Autism service wins prestigious healthcare award

People attending RehabCare Eiscir Meadows, a leading autism support service in Offaly, celebrated their win at the Irish Healthcare Centre Awards with a party in the centre alongside staff, friends, and family members recently.

The service took home the award for Best Day Service of the Year at the national award ceremony in May, coming out on top among nominees from across the country. Staff and members of the service hosted a celebratory party in the Tullamore centre with music, singing, and dancing on Friday, June 7.

Community Services Manager, Amy Scott, said: "Eiscir Meadows is a little piece of heaven on earth. We believe in empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives and contribute positively to their community. It has been an honour to bring this award home to Tullamore and we are so thrilled to host a celebration with the wonderful individuals that attend our service."

Programme Facilitator, Lisa Maher, added: "At the heart of our service is a spirit of inclusion. Our recent event brought together a group of people who all wanted to share in the prestigious award. We are so proud of what we have achieved together."

The award reflects Eiscir Meadows' commitment to providing diverse, innovative, and person-centred services. The team ensures that the people attending are active participants in the community and have the opportunity to thrive in a range of different programmes, supported by dedicated staff members.
