Peacock on the loose in Birr!

Birr Garda Station got a shock this morning when a rogue peacock was found roaming around the local environs!

This fine feathered friend was discovered at 9 o'clock this morning. The facebook page of An Garda Síochána Offaly posted the Missing Peacock Alert early this afternoon.

The peacock has since been taken to a local vets in Birr, and the Gardaí believe that they have located the owner - a Birr local.

All's well that ends well!
