Special Easter parkrun at Mountlucas

Mountlucas parkrun is hosting a special Easter parkrun next weekend with chocolate treats at the finish line, sponsored by Bord na Móna.

The event takes place on Saturday, March 23.

Mountlucas parkrun is free, fun, and friendly weekly 5km community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you! Parkrun is positive, welcoming and inclusive, there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along. Make your health and wellbeing regime easier by doing your 5km walk or run with a group of friendly and likeminded individuals- good for body and mind!

Mountlucas parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9:30am. The event takes place at Mountlucas Wind Farm in Offaly. The parkrun is a single loop of a flat trail route around some of the turbines at the wind farm, situated on a cut away bog. The start and finish are situated close to the car parking area. There is a toilet available on site. It costs nothing to take part - the event is supported by a number of sponsors including Bord na Móna and is run by a team of volunteers.

Please register before you first come along. Only ever register with parkrun once and don't forget to bring a copy of your barcode- this can be on your phone. Once you've registered you can take part at Mountlucas parkrun, or at any other parkrun event in Ireland or across the globe. There are currently 148 parkrun locations across Ireland, and other locations in 21 countries across the globe.
