Minister visits Offaly manufacturing plant
Minister of State for Land Use and Biodiversity, Pippa Hackett rrecently visited the world class manufacturing facilities of EJ in Birr, Co. Offaly to view sustainable production processing and business practices at the site.
Minister Hackett enjoyed a tour of the production buildings where both composite and fabricated steel access covers are manufactured, for supply to the Irish, European and Nordic markets. The Minister viewed how these access solutions, which are a vital infrastructure component to ensure the safety and functionality of utility networks, are manufactured in compliance with the highest standards in the industry.
Highlighting the EJ investment locally in environmental, social and governance initiatives Caroline O’Brien, Head of Business Development & Marketing, with Liam O’Sullivan, Production and Design Manager, spoke on the ongoing commitments being made by EJ to deliver sustainable products for their customer’s infrastructure.
