Taoiseach urged to boycott White House visit over Biden's stance on Israel-Hamas war

People Before Profit has called on all TDs to boycott St Patrick's Day trips, including the Taoiseach's visit to the White House.
They also criticised Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald for plans to visit the United States for St Patrick's Day.
The party claims US president Joe Biden has the blood of Palestinians on his hands.
Deputy Bríd Smith said Leo Varadkar should not go to the US to meet Mr Biden.
"The relevance is to say: Boycott Washington, do not share the bowl of Shamrock, do not visit 'genocide Joe' on that day... and isolate them from what is an important day in the calendar for the Irish Diaspora everywhere."
Ms Smith added: "Well not only do we want the Taoiseach to boycott the St Patrick's Day visit... we want all elected Dáil Éireann deputies to boycott St Patrick's Day [visits].
"That includes the leader of the Opposition Mary Lou McDonald, who has said she will go. We think that this is wrong. Joe Biden is now known commonly throughout the world as the killer, 'genocide Joe' they call him."
