Murphy family thanks public

The family of the late Offaly woman Ashling Murphy has thanked the public for their support throughout 2023.

In a statement published on the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund Facebook page, the family said although 2023 was a significantly difficult year it was “incredibly grateful” to those who donated to the memorial fund, set up a fundraiser or sent messages of support.

The Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund said it wanted to continue to work to ensure Ashling’s name and legacy continues to live on every day.

The statement said: “Ashling touched the hearts and minds of many people worldwide during her short life and even after her tragic departure from us almost two years ago.

"Our wish is that Ashling will always be remembered for the truly admirable and inspiring lady she was. We would appreciate your support in continuing this wish.”
