Offaly students receive top CPA Ireland prize for academic excellence

Aisling McCann from Blueball and Mary Clavin from Killeigh were the recipients of an academic excellence award presented by CPA Ireland at a conferring in Dublin on Saturday last.

The award recognises their accomplishments as the top performers in specific subjects nationwide. Mary recorded the highest marks in the Taxation exam in an award kindly sponsored by PSC while Aisling’s accomplishment was in the Managerial Finance exam and her award was kindly sponsored by Eirkoo.

President of CPA Ireland, Mark Gargan, speaking at the conferring, commended the graduating group saying: “For those joining the accountancy profession today they are entering an evolving industry with many exciting prospects. For many years now our graduating classes have enjoyed close to full employment and that continues in 2023.”

“In conjunction with our sponsors, CPA Ireland each year presents awards to those students who have achieved the highest examination mark in each subject for the CPA examinations. Congratulations, Mary Clavin and Aisling McCann, and to all the 2023 prize-winners who come from diverse roles in both practice and industry and thank you to all our partner firms involved in this event.”
