Garda horses patrol Tullamore

Locals enjoyed a visit from The Garda Mounted Support Unit on Saturday last when mounted Gardaí and Garda horses patrolled the streets of Tullamore.

The Laois Offaly Garda Division said that it was great to see them and that they always create positive engagement.

The Mounted Unit was established in 1998 and is based in Phoenix Park, Dublin. The unit’s facilities include stables, tack rooms, stores, paddocks and an all-weather training arena. The Unit provides support to Garda Districts in many counties on a regular basis.
