Pullough Community Shop to host 'Tea & Coffee with the Elves'
LOETB Birr is preparing to host 'Tea & Coffee with the Elves' in Pullough Community Shop next Tuesday, December 12 from 10.30am.
The event promises to be full of fun, with freshly baked treats from LOETB Birr’s chef Valerie, music, raffles and hampers, and there is even a rumour of a surprise guest! All of the money raised at the event will go to Pullough Community Shop.
Teresa Buckley from the Pullough Community Shop said: “This is going to be a coffee morning with a difference. 'Tea & Coffee with the Elves' promises to be a great event for all ages. Hopefully Santa will drop in for a cuppa too!”
LOETB Event Management student Melissa Dunne came up with the idea for 'Tea & Coffee with Elves' and she is one of the event co-managers. Melissa said that she's "absolutely delighted to be involved with this event".
Melissa said: "Everything in Pullough is community based from all the services this shop offers, from groceries to a place where you can meet friends and family for a chat, to having a cup of tea while reading a book. So it is great to be giving something back to a facility that offers so much.”
Finley Wrafter, the other event manager from LOETB Birr, added: “It is great to explore Event Management in theory. However, it's even better seeing it in practice while generating funds for this great service in Pullough.”
LOETB Birr manager Eileen Kenna Quinn said: "Another wonderful event from our Event Management students in LOETB which has a community focus. I hope the morning is successful and enjoyed by everyone who attends.
"The Event Management students are working hard with the Pullough community to run this event and to conduct market research for a marketing plan for a successful future of the Community Shop. The very best of luck to everyone!"
