Christmas market in Birr this Saturday

Over 30 vendors will descend on Birr for a fantastic Christmas market in The Chestnut this Saturday, November 25.

The market is facilitated by the Chestnut pub and Birr Tidy Towns, but an independent event by event manager Cha Cahill.

Birr will come to life with a day of festive activities this Saturday, from 12pm until 7pm the Chestnut pub in Birr will transform its outer roofed over areas into a winter market.

The event will see over 30 vendors set up for a days trading. Vendors will be selling vinyl

records, vintage sports jerseys, arts, crafts, collectibles, lego, cosmetics, jewellery and much, much more.

For a lot of vendors this will be their first market in the Midlands as they will be traveling from Dublin, Kilkenny, Galway, Limerick and all other corners of Ireland to join some of the best marketeers that the Midlands region has to offer.

Beyond the market, the town will be full of life as the Birr Tidy Towns committee has come together again this year to expand on their hugely successful Christmas Lights event which will have a ticketed Santy and sensory Santa experience in Green Street, Birr from 2pm.

There is sure to be lots of surprises on the day. All of this excitement will lead to the Christmas lights being turned on in the Square in Birr later in the evening at 7pm.

The Christmas market finds itself positioned between Green Street and the Square making it a perfect location to stop by and support the growth of the arts in the Midlands.
