Local Foresters elect new committee

A Special General Meeting of the Irish National Foresters which took place in Tullamore last week has elected a new committee to take the local branch forward.

The meeting, which took place in Tullamore Court Hotel, attracted a big attendance, and among the reports discussed was one from the Interim committee which laid out plans for the future of the organisation.

A new committee was elected with one of their first tasks being the preparation of a report to be discussed by all members at a meeting in the first quarter of 2024.

The following Committee was elected : Chief Ranger, Martin O' Connor; Sub Chief Ranger, Tom Quigley; Secretary, Sean O' Brien; Treasurer, John Lloyd; Assistant Treasurer, Paddy Clarke; Committee members, Tom Martin, Aisling Owens, John Donnellan, Joe Connolly, Seamus Holleran.

Local Independent Cllr and Sectetary of the local Foresters Branch said it was "great to have High Chief Ranger, Joan McAteer, and Executive Treasurer, Seamus McAteer, and their partners present at the Tullamore meeting."
